DJ Classes
Step into the world of DJing with personalized, one-on-one weekly lessons designed to take you from beginner to confident performer. Whether you’ve never touched a controller or you’re ready to sharpen your skills, this class gives you the foundation you need to mix like a pro.
You’ll learn the fundamentals using Serato DJ and a professional standalone DJ controller — the same type of setup used in clubs and live events.
In this hands-on course, you’ll master:
Understanding song structure and beat grids
Matching BPMs accurately
Clean, seamless transitions between tracks
Building and organizing your own playlist
Reading the crowd and creating the right vibe
Basic effects and mixing techniques
Every lesson is customized to your pace and music style, so you’re not just learning theory — you’re building real performance skills.
By the end of the course, you’ll record your own DJ demo mix and walk away with the confidence and technical ability to call yourself a DJ.

We are willing to try out lessons with anyone 7+, although we find that ages 10+ sometimes find it a lot easier to follow along due to the computer and math skills needed to DJ.
-
The program we use in class is free for the basic version and costs 9.99 per month for the upgraded version. You can use this without a DJ controller, but the cheapest entry-level controller can cost around $50, and an advanced controller can be up to a few hundred dollars.
-
You don't need your own gear as we provide some in class.
-
You can rent a very basic controller from us if we have them in stock currently.
-
The best way to practice at home is to listen to the music you want to DJ often and become familiar with the different parts of each song.
